In N.W. corner of N.E.
1/4 of S.W. 1/4 of Sec. 9 T.28 N., R.I.E., 2nd IN P.M. which location
is in the N.W. portion of HARRISON
TOWNSHIP in Northwestern Cass County in
North-Central INDIANA.
Despite it’s name,
this cemetery is not located on Indian Creek, [a sizeable eastern tributary of
the Tippecanoe River] but lies about 1 mile South of it. Two small
southern tributaries of Indian Creek do flow
Northward within 1/4 mile east & west of this cemetery.
Caution should be used to Not confuse this cemetery with the
The field notes on this cemetery were not checked due to the declaration
of war between the German, Italian & Japanese Empires in Dec. 1941 making
the checking of this remote cemetery impractical at the present time.
The original log church was built in or about 1838 was later replaced
with a framed structure was active until it closed for church-services about the
end of the Civil War. About a century ago the church was torn down (perhaps to
allow for a large cemetery.
Two Presbyterian
Churches currently exist within a few miles S.E. of the cemetery in the towns of

by J.Z. Powell as being a Veteran who died 06/04/1892 aged 48 yrs. of 73 Reg.
Ind . Vol. was not found by transcriber in the Civil War database however I did
find a John F. Callaham who was in
that unit. There was also a John T. Conn who however served in the 151st
Reg Co.F.
