Formerly the WINEGARDNER GRAVE-YARD & often called the Burnettsville Cemetery, as it lies one mile east of the White County town by that name.

 Cemetery is located on the extreme western edge of JEFFERSON Township . (1/3 mile), & 11 miles West of the county seat of Logansport in Cass county, IN.  Cemetery is 8 miles from Monticello (county-seat) of White Co., IN. & is just 100 rods west of the Cass and White County line, located on the North side of U.S. Highway 24 (Monticello to Logansport road), near the S.E. corner of the S.W. quarter sec.19, T.27N., R.1W.,

 A very large, very old cemetery, opened for burials in 1833. The field-work, checking & transcribing of this cemetery was originally done on 11-Apr-1943 at the request of the INDIANA STATE HISTORICAL SOCIETY, under the direction Robert R. Whitsett,  Robert Wallace Barr & Mrs. Anna C. Whitsett, all the members of the L’Anguille  Valley Memorial Association

Fisher plot: appears “FATHER” ? (J.C.) & “MOTHER”? (A.D.) are buried w/o names or dates on either end of 3 sons R.H., E.F. & C.E.

Bet. J.B. Elliott & J. York  stone “A” no name or dates

Neithercutt/Nethercutt-appears to be same family name but engraved differently.

Hilda  w/o last name or dates next to W.E. & H.V. Amick-could be footstone for her or child?

Bet. Rebecca & R.P. Bunger-undecipherable card in metal marker.

Bet. Callaway infants & S. Hopkinson-card missing from metal marker.

Davis, Jas.: RECORDED d:09/14/1844 but wrote 1864 above it & than crossed the 1864 out. But says

G.A.R.. Since G.A.R. is exclusive to Civil Veteran, he couldn’t possibly have died in 1844.

A Large attractive modern 12 ft. high gray granite cylinder & hard to decipher contains the names of: Charley Amick & Florence Amick

Mother (Margaret) Mrs.Wm.S.Davis & Father (Wm.S.) Davis

Charley Davis, Blanch E.Davis, Marilla S. Davis

Included in this plot are small headstones for the above people

John Morris: "His Life was Exemplary; To Religion, A Friend, His Departure was Sudden and Peaceful His End.”

Daniel D. Boehme: “Weep not, dear father and mother, for me. For I am waiting in Glory for Thee.”

Mrs. John ( Elizabeth ) Ryerson: “In love she lived, in peace she died, Her life was asked, but God denied.”

George & Catharine Davis : “Death is but a friendly stranger that unlocks the golden door, bids us past the darkened portals to the bright celestial shore.”

Infant Son of J.W. & M. Sheets: “Sleep on, sweet Babe, and take thy rest.  God called thee home; He thought it best.”  

 Mrs. Stacy J. (Maryum C.) Gardner : “She sleeps in the valley so sweet, But her spirit has taken it’s flight

        Lo! Her form is but dust neath our feet, while she is an angel of light.”
