MyComputer.com wanted us to pay $35. per year for their guestbook services, so I decided to find another free guestbook service. Following is an archive of messages from the old guestbook.
We thought this might be a good way for our class to keep in touch. We would like the 35th reunion in 2004 to be the best yet, but we need every class member who is able to be present. We would also love to hear about your ideas of an ideal class reunion.
Comments I would like to see my
classmates again. I retired from the US Army in 1992, and moved to
Tennessee, where we still live. I plan on attending the reunion in
2004.
Comments Hi, My email address has
changed. Life is busy; God is good. We were blessed by our son and
daughter-in-law with a second granddaughter last November. Deb
Comments Missed this one due to an auto
accident. Looks like everyone had a good time. Sure want to be at the
35th. Think everyone should come to the great state of Missouri. It's
not as if we have to have them in Indiana. Not that that's bad. It
would just be a change. We're about 60 miles east of St. Louis where
there's plenty to do and places to stay. Anyone with thoughts on this?
Well no matter, gonna be at the next one if at all possible.
Comments I manage the Lewis Cass Band web
site which has an alumni E-mail page. You do not have to be a old band
member to be elegible, just a Lewis Cass alunmi. I would like to add
those of the Class of '69 that have E-mail addresses. Please write me
using the address above or through the band web site at
http://www.lckings.org. There is also an alumni E-mail list on the
school web site as well.
Comments Sounds like we missed a great
time. It turned out to be a difficult time for us to get away. My
husband retired the day before and we were readying ourselves for his
upcoming surgeries. He had his third hip replacement last week. They
just don't stay done if you fall out of the attic. The surgeon ended up
doing his surgeries in stages ... he took the hip out on a Monday and
left it out to make sure there was no infection. Then he put a
replacement in on Thursday. He's home now and recuperating nicely. Hope
we'll be able to be there in five years. It was fun to see the
pictures. Not as much fun as being there though.
Comments This web page is a very good
idea for opening communication avenues with #$@%! members and friends
who were from different graduating classes. So many households use the
internet today. I'm sorry that I couldn't make the reunion this year. I
was between job changes and couldn't get time off. Hopefully next time!
I do, however, have a couple of suggestions for the next BEST reunion
in 2004. One would be to have an online service available to email
those who cannot attend or have a chat room set up. Another would be to
have events planned over two or three days instead of a couple of hours
on Saturday evening. Many reunions in Iowa will have activities Friday
evening, all day Saturday, and some on Sunday to make the long journey
worth it to those who have to travel long distances. Plan various types
of activities that might cater to different tastes. It sounds easy and
I'm sure it would take lots of extra effort, however, to make it the
best reunion ever the committee will need to go the extra distance.
Comments hey girls how are ya. long time
no see, except for sarah saw her at #$@%! the other day, for band
uniforms for my daughter. hope everyone is great and all are well, and
happy.
Comments Living in California, I haven't
made it to any of the #$@%! reunions, but it looks like you all had a
lot of fun. My wife (Jo) and kids (Matt & Christine)have been in
San Diego for 12 years, and in California in general since 1978. Maybe
one of these times we'll get back there. I just found out a month ago
that Paul Moore lives about 15 miles from me. Small world. Anyway, best
wishes to all. Drop me a line sometime.
Comments Had a great time seeing everyone
that was there. Hope those not attending can come next time. This page
will give us a great place to exchange ideas and also get info on those
who did not come or send info for the 30th.
Comments Okay - who are all those old
folk in the pictures? Sure glad I didn't grow up yet !!! My idea of an
ideal reunion would be a mini-cruise out of Cape Canaveral: It is
afordable for all if planned in advance and a chartered bus trip down
is arranged instead of flying.....
