Legacy Project of the 2016 Miami County / Indiana Statehood
Bicentennial Celebration, we invite you and your family to join us on October
15, 2016 for our Day of Dedication and discussion. The
names and sites of those buried in a forgotten cemetery have been lost
to time and progress. Gather with us to learn about
our early area pioneers who first migrated in our area in the 1840’s
and 1850’s to live, labor, and worship according to their faith. You
may be surprised to hear the names of the settlers and community
founders as being your own. (Howard County: 600 N - 700 E) (Miami County: 3976 E 1400 S) 765-395-7509 Directional road signs will be posted from Indiana State Rd 18 and on surrounding county roads. The day begins at 9
AM with coffee and conversation with area genealogists,
and historical experts and speakers from Howard and Miami County
historical societies, museums and libraries. - A noon-time
lunch from 12-1:00 PM will be served ($5 donation -
Please advise with RSVP* of the number in your group. Let us know if
gluten free or sugar free is needed). - We will be
gathering in the sanctuary at 1 PM
for a dedication service. Celebrate Indiana’s Bicentennial by joining us for this rare opportunity to honor those who came before us. Please *RSVP by Oct 10th for lunch reservation by phone or email.
