Larry E. Vinopal, 64, Peru, passed away at 5:39 p.m. Friday, April 8, 2005 at Dukes Memorial Hospital.

He was born Aug. 23, 1940 in Grove City, Penn. to Harold and Betty Atkinson Vinopal. He married Roberta Vinopal June 20, 1964, and she survives.

 
 
Vinopal was retired from the U.S. Air Force, and worked in maintenance at Hickory Creek Nursing Home. He also enjoyed horses and motorcycles, and collecting John Deere tractors.

Survivors besides his wife include a daughter, Michele Marshall and husband Bo, Peru; a son, Michael "Mike" Vinopal, Peru; seven grandchildren, Matthew, Austin and Abigail Vinopal, Katlain Ramer, Megan, Marissa and Mason Marshall; a brother, Donny Vinopal, Titusville, Penn.; and two sisters.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, with Pastor Bob Damron officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery, Miami County. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. A military service also is planned.
