PERU TRIBUNE OBITUARIES
Obituary for James G. Borden, son of Oliver BORDEN and his first wife, Elizabeth BENNER:
FATAL ACCIDENT
On last Saturday, a son of Oliver Borden of Washington Township, on his
way home to Peru was thrown from his horse and killed. From the
fact that the stirrup was found broken from the saddle, it is supposed
that after being thrown, he was dragged some distance. In
addition to the injuries thus received, from a fracture of his skull it
is supposed that while being dragged by the stirrup, he was kicked by
the horse. The accident happened on the Santa Fe road about a
mile from Peru.
