Obituary Kokomo Tribune -- Howard County, Indiana 8
January 1919
Mrs. Elba Marie BOURNE, daughter of John and Caroline
CUNNINGHAM,
was born at Peru, Ind., August 25, 1892 and departed this life December
19, 1918, aged 26 years, 3 months and 24 days.
On April 11, 1909 she was united in marriage to Norman BOURNE.
Three children were born to this union: Mary, who preceeded her to the
grave by eight years and Carl and Helen who survive.
Mrs. Bourne was converted and baptized together with her husband
on December 15, 1910, just eight years ago last Sunday. They were
received into full fellowship in North Street Baptist Church.
"Elba" as she was familiarly called was a dutiful daughter and loving
wife and mother.
Her passing away will be greatly lamented by her husband and two

Waveland Independent newspaper, Waveland, Montgomery County, Indiana
March 24, 1911
Charles
Jones received a message on Friday
that his mother, Mrs. Juelda Buchanan, was sick with grip at her home
in Kokomo. On Saturday
she seemed better and up to Sunday
morning, she was thought not to be dangerously ill. At that time,
she expressed a fear that the boys would not get to her in time to see
her, alive, and after taking a drink of water, sank back on to her
pillow dead. Mr. and Mrs. Jones and son Paul attended the funeral
on Tuesday. She leaves three sons, Samuel of
Harrisburg, Ill; George of Camden, Indiana, and Charles. By her
second marriage, she leaves six daughters. She was 68 years old. -
