Sexton McTigue's Annual Report: His City of the Silent

The total number of internments in Crown Point Cemetery for 1895 was 183, an increase of 32 over the previous year. The total number of internments since the opening of this beautiful city of the dead twenty-seven years ago is 2848. During all of these years, the grounds have been under the superintendency of John W. COOPER and in the personal care of Sexton Mark MCTIGUE. The mounds upon which loving tears are wept are the neighbors of the old sexton, his friends and companions.
