Cassville
cemetery is on the east side of U.S. 31 on the north side of the small
town of Cassville, Howard Co., IN. It is in Miami County, Deer Creek
Township. Rebecca Miller and I did a reading the stones here in
November 1999. Donnie Pickard provided most of the tombstone photos in
the database.
Only a brief mention is made of this cemetery in History of Miami County, Indiana : a narrative account of its historical progress, its people and its principal interests
Chicago: Lewis Pub. Co., 1914; p.378. This citation does not even mention
the cemetery name. So far, I have little history about it.
